GOLDENRADIO is the reference firmware for ATS25. It turns your portable receiver into a complete tool for SWLs, DXers and radio amateurs, with separate management of HAM and BROADCAST bands, quick access to the main radio bands, and AIR/VHF band support on compatible models. Future development is also planned for the marine band and other VHF bands.
It includes FT2, FT4 and FT8 decoding, CW, RTTY, WEFAX and SSTV with image reception. New digital modes are also in development, such as JS8Call, NAVTEX, Hellschreiber, PSK31 and PSK63.
In FTx modes, when the locator is available, GoldenRadio shows the country, distance and antenna bearing. It includes Touch & Tune tuning, 100 memories per band, an integrated EiBi database and per-band frequency calibration. The GoldenRadio Settings Manager lets you manage settings, memories and backups from a PC, and will be further developed in upcoming versions. First and only FT2 decoder on ESP32
GOLDENRADIO was the first firmware in the world for ESP32 to decode FT2 directly on the radio, and it remains the only official firmware to support it. FT2 uses 3.8 second T/R cycles for ultra-fast digital communications.
Country identification in FT2, FT4 and FT8
The only ESP32-based firmware that decodes the callsign prefix in FT2, FT4 or FT8 and instantly shows the country of origin of the signal. DX hunting has never been this immediate.
Spectrum & waterfall
Adaptive spectrum analyzer with waterfall lets you "see" weak signals your ears might miss. FT8 decoding over a full 3 kHz bandwidth — double what stock firmware offers.
Extended ATS25 compatibility
Tested on ATS25, ATS25+, ATS25X1, ATS25X2, ATS25 max, ATS25 max-Decoder, ATS25 max-Decoder II, ATS25-XF, ATS25AMP, ATS25 Pro+ AIR, ATS25 Ultra, ATS-Decoder Mega and variants with digital-modes modifications. ESP32 + SI473x hardware with ILI9341, ST7789, ILI9488i or ILI9488 display depending on the model. Some DIY versions — radios assembled or modified by the user — are also supported.

Three steps to activate
From installing the GOLDENRADIO firmware via browser to permanent activation.
Install from the web
Connect the radio over USB, open the installation page and click INSTALL FIRMWARE. Chrome or Edge does everything — no files to download.
Read your Product ID
After installation, press "Set" on the radio to open the settings, then press "Info" to read your device Product ID.
Activate permanently
Enter your Product ID on the website, pay once, receive the cryptographic key by email and type it into the radio. Activated forever.
